Morrie passed peacefully in his sleep during the night at the age of 89.
He strongly requested that he didn’t want a funeral, and we are abiding by his wishes. He has willed his remains to medical research at Monash University.
His time in the news industry meant a great deal to him, and he loved to keep up with former proteges and colleagues.
Morrie was telling his stories right until the end.
His wife Ruth, children Guy, Peter, Jo and Richard and their families loved him dearly, as he loved them, and will remember the larger than life man with pride and many good memories.
